Do you know what one of the greatest ways is to come close to Allah (swt) according to Ibn Taymiyyah (ra)?

Freeing the prisoners is one of the greatest compulsory deeds and spending ransom money and other means towards that, is one of the greatest ways to come close to Allah.” (Sheikh-ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah , Al-Fatawa 28/635)

Mohammed Rizwaan in  UK Prison: “To  all the brothers and sisters who wrote those letters to me. May Allah reward you with khayr in this world and the next.Jazak Allah for Dua’s and support.Jazak Allah for your reminders and words of wisdom. Please make dua for me and my twelve co-defendants, 11 brothers and 1 sister. Also make dua for all our brothers and sisters behind bars.”

SISTERS’ PROJECT LAUNCHES: THE ONE LETTER A WEEK PROJECT!

Part of ‘freeing’ our Muslim brothers and sisters in prison is tending their needs as much as we can.
DEAR SISTER, HOW CAN YOU HELP?

1. Start yourself with (hand!)writing  a letter ONCE A WEEK

Muslimprisoners.com collect letters for prisoners by email and print them off for over 85 prisoners in UK.
We told Muslimprisoners about the idea to collect letters for prisoners every Friday at the Circle of Knowledge at Sparkhill Social & Cultural Centre and they said they are in need of HANDWRITTEN letters, which provide more personal support to our imprisoned brothers and SISTERS! There are sisters in prison in UK RIGHT NOW. Imagine yourself being there, away from your family, children.. Now what can YOU DO?

YOUR WEEKLY REWARD:

-(hand)WRITE 1 LETTER DURING THE WEEK and hand it in at the Friday ‘Circle of Knowledge’, 641 Stratford Road
- The letter preferably should be minimum 1 page
- You can write about things you learned that week, knowledge you gained etc (see muslimprisoners.com for example letters)
- You can have your children write a message in the letter
- If you sign your letter with your family name it can be send to both brothers  and sisters, if you sign with your own name it only goes to sisters
If you can’t make it on Friday, you can post your letter to 32 Showell Green lane, b11 4jp, Sparkhill, Birmingham any time.

AS LONG AS YOU MAKE SURE YOU WRITE 1 LETTER A WEEK! We told Muslimprisoners we would collect all the letters on Fridays, put them all in an envelope and send them to them. What a beautiful thing to do this together with our group of sisters who weekly get together to gain knowledge! Please don’t let them down!! Writing 1 letter a week must be possible for all of us and your reward is with Allah, the Best Giver of Rewards!
