SISTERS’ PROJECT aims to be a sisterhood network, offering support and a friendly environment in which to encourage sisters to offer their skills for the benefit of others.
We provide a platform for projects organised by and for sisters in Birmingham.
SISTERS’ PROJECT also organises its own weekly Islamic gatherings for sisters to increase them in their knowledge, and advice and inspiration on how to translate knowledge into action!
SISTERS’ PROJECT was founded in 2009 by a small group of sisters who felt the need nurture ‘Sisterhood’ in Birmingham. We found that in the big city of Birmingham, with its large Muslim community, it was very hard to find sisters get togethers as well as projects to join. We wanted to provide that central place for sisters to join in acts of sisterhood, supporting each other in their daily lives and in their Deen.
As a result, the SISTERS’ PROJECT is a melting pot of diverse cultures and nationalities, all working together to make a difference to the quality of lives of our sisters in Birmingham. You would be surprised at the number of requests we get asking, “Is there anything going on … something I can help with?? ”
NOW YOU CAN…. THE SISTERS’ PROJECT!
